~Who was Katelynn Stinnett?~

Katelynn Stinnett was a beautiful little girl who was savagely beaten, raped, torchered and murdered by Brian Crabtree, her 18 year old babysitter.
The attack happened just after Thanksgiving, 2008 in her hometown in Kentucky.

When admitted to the hospital, although unconcious and unresponsive, she DID have a faint pulse.
Doctors and the trauma team did everything they could think to keep her as comfortable
as possible to give her tiny body time to heal.
Upon examination and X-rays, pictures clearly showed Katelynn's body covered in bruises, her skull had been shattered and nearly every bone in her body had been broken at one point in time or another.

The Steel Horse Cowgirls Veteran & Children Charity Riders (in KY) heard about Katelynn Stinnett on
the local news and got involved quickly. They went to the hospital, communicating with trauma,
ER professionals and local Law Enforcement.

Little Katelynn hung on as long as she could, but her body was too damaged.
Her fight for life ended in that hospital, on December 3, 2008 at the tender age of 2;
when she succumbed to the injuries sustained from that brutal assault.
Funeral arrangements were made by the SHC, who were also acting as Honor Guard for Katelynn.

After the ceremony, Crickett Lanham (the fmr. Sgt. at Arms of the SHC) and I spoke about this little girl,
whose abuse went un-noticed or was just ignored...  about the funeral and the case.
She mentioned possibly doing a ride next year in KY, in Katelynn's memory.
Apparently there isn't enough information in the area where kids can go for help & feel safe.

I thought of the tens-of-thousands of children who's stories don't make the news...
and I said  "Crickett, THIS NEEDS TO BE REALLY BIG - LET'S DO A NATIONAL RIDE!"
So with a little idea and a lot of heart, we began soliciting our friends in the motorcycle community.
We asked for volunteers from all 50 states to try and make a difference with a charity ride.
Anyone wanting to get involved could volunteer and put a ride together in their state; for their community.

All monies raised will be donated to the coordinator's charity of choice.
The organization/charity must be a 501(c) (3) non-profit and must be relevant to the event;
as child abuse prevention, awareness & early education programs are in need of major funding.

With that said... please join us as bikers nationwide take a stand against child abuse.

On June 13th, 2009, in 50 states across this great nation
and across 3 time-zones simultaneously...

"The 1st Annual Katelynn Stinnett National Memorial Ride for
Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness"
will commence.
Bikers alike will ride in memory of those who's voices have been silenced and for all children
who are too small and frightened to stand up for themselves.

 Kickstands up approx:
11:00am on the West Coast
12:00pm Central Time
1:00pm on the East Coast

As our thundering roar echoes the county, let it be a warning to abusers that we'll
ride into hell for just one child

~We ride in Katelynn's memory, but we'll ride for all kids who desperately need help~

Please spend an afternoon with us to help raise awareness and much needed funding for this cause.

All proceeds/donations from this Southern California event will go directly to:
The Los Angeles Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.), an Internationally
known non-profit 501(c)(3) who's purpose is to protect a child who may be in need or fear.

All donations are tax-deductable.

You'll have a great time participating in an amazing fundraiser and may even make some new friends.
It will be an honor for everyone involved... and a blessing for a life cut short - Katelynn Stinnett's.

*NOTE:  Katelynn's organs were harvested and gifted to others.
From one little girl, many live on.

Ride loud - Ride proud - Ride safe!

~With peace, love & respect always~
